Before becoming a stylist, Sharlie was a veterinary technician. She also trained dogs in agility and obedience, competing nationally with her three adorable and obviously well-trained pugs. But as much as she loves animals, she had always fantasized about working in the beauty industry where she could express her artistic side. Deciding that it’s never too late to follow your dream, she pivoted, enrolled at Evergreen Beauty College, and launched her second career.

Sharlie is a little obsessed with Disneyland. If she could take a vacation tomorrow it would be Disneyland, Disneyworld, or Disneyland Paris. But she loves to travel to other places destinations as well. To date, she has been to Iceland, Paris, Nice, Barbados, Costa Rica, Seville, Monaco, and St. Tropez.

When she’s not working or thinking about going to Disneyland, Sharlie enjoys camping and paddle boarding with her family. She is a Seattle native and lifelong south-of-the-city resident, where she lives with her husband—who she started dating when they were in high school—their two delightful daughters, and a sweet pup named Mando.
