There is a rumor that Yvette put the “oh!” in color but that’s not quite true because actually, she put both of the “ohs!” in color. She received her advanced training at Gene Juarez Academy in 2000 and has been working her magic at Serenza ever since.

As the Color Director and Ita&ly Educator for Serenza Salon, Yvette creates spectacular custom colors for her clients. Her favorite is Jalisco, a vibrant and spicy red that she named for the village in Mexico where her family came from. She also specializes in color blocking, cutting, and styling for long hair.

Yvette was born in San Francisco but has lived in Seattle most of her life. When she’s not cutting and coloring or thinking about cutting and coloring, she enjoys running, gardening, painting, and reading
